The Team

The Maple Leaf Language Services is formed by:

Susana Garcia

Head of Studies.

She works as an extra-curricular English teacher and a free time activities’ director. As a teacher, she teaches English as a foreign language to primary school children and she prepares students for Cambridge official exams.
As a director, she has been working in summer projects for several years at different public schools.
Apart from that, she is the company’s head of studies and her goal is to make sure that a good service is given.

Mireya Aguilar

Company’s director.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish Philology (University of Barcelona). She also holds a Master’s Degree in Technical Translation: English-Spanish (University of York, Toronto) and a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Translation (UAB, Barcelona). She has been working as an English and Spanish teacher for seven years in several private schools and companies in Catalonia. Internationally, she has taught English as a foreign language at King George’s International College (Toronto). On the other hand, she collaborates with several dubbing companies by subtitling films, short films and video games and she has been coordinator of the first English summer camp in Sant Llorenç d’Hortons (Barcelona).

She has a strong relationship with Cambridge ESOL examinations. On one hand, she has not only prepared students for official exams, but also organized exam sessions. On the other hand, she is a Cambridge oral examiner.

Elisabet Llopart

English teacher.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Translation Studies (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona) and nowadays she is studying a Master’s Degree in Linguistics at the same university. During her period as a university student, she was sent to the University of Durham, United Kingdom. She has been part of several linguistics and translation’s projects and she has worked as an English teacher.

Elisabet Llopart

 

Mireia Borrell

English teacher.

She is a Teacher of English as Foreign Language. She teaches children and teenagers. Apart from her relationship with the world of tourism, she has been studying English for more than fourteen years and she has obtained several official diplomas.

She has been abroad in order to learn the language. She has travelled to the United Kingdom on four occasions and the last time she stayed in Canada. She has experience as a childrens’ instructor in several “esplais” and she has been teaching English to kids.
